As if you didn't already know, but women are pretty kick ass! Whether its Jane Austen paving the way for future female writers, Peggy Whitson smashing records in space, or the absolute pioneer of civil rights Rosa Parks, women have being making an impact in the world and reaching the stars (literally) since the start of time.
But I want to celebrate the unsung women of our world. The mothers, the CEO's, the women who struggle in the face of diversity. The women who are faced with discrimination in the workforce, the women who have to make tough decisions every day on whether they should stay home with their children or go to work. The women who are shamed for making EITHER decision. The women who don't want to have kids at all, and that's 100% ok. The women that have learnt to stay quiet because they were told they were too loud, too annoying, too bossy. Too much. The women that come up with an idea only for someone else to say it a little bit louder. The women who get told how to do their job even though they have being doing it for 12 years now. The women who want to celebrate their achievements but fear not looking humble enough. That have men always trying to 'one up' them. I want to celebrate you. Because no one knows the sh*t women go through like other women. So I want us to raise each other up. I want you to find another woman and tell her what an amazing job she is doing. I want you to tell her that she is a fabulous, amazing human being and to always believe in herself. Because she's got this.
Now I want you to look in the mirror and tell yourself the same thing. Because this is what we created Girl Boss Mag for. To celebrate you. So pop the champagne, and open your copy of Girl Boss Mag, because you are worth the celebration!
